Guidelines, Rules, & Bylaws for Members and Associates
The Roosevelt Island Garden Club (RIGC) is an all volunteer not-for-profit gardening organization. Membership is available only to current and continuing residents of Roosevelt Island.
RIGC Membership Application
There is presently a waiting list to become a member. To apply for a garden club membership (and receive access to a garden plot), you must download the Waitlist Application below

RIGC Associate Gardeners Program
While on the waitlist (and before joining RIGC as a full member), a Roosevelt Island resident can become an Associate Gardener.
With the permission of and approval by the RIGC Board, an Associate Gardener can work with a committee in the garden's communal areas or help an individual RIGC member who needs assistance in their plot.
If you are a Roosevelt Island resident who is interested in the Associate Gardener program, you need to first fill out the Waitlist Application above and mail or email it as explained.
Please note in the email or an accompanying letter that you want to be considered for the Associate Gardener program.
Volunteer with RIGC
From time to time, students seeking community service or friends of RIGC join us for Community Service Days or help with special projects in the garden.
If you are interested in helping out, please email the RIGC Outreach & Publicity Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers are not required to be Roosevelt Island residents, but all volunteers must fill out a liability waver.
