Have you ever met and spoken to our visitors from near and far? We don't have a guest book or any record of people who visit, but this year we have had guests from Norway, England, and many other places who stop in to admire our garden during our open hours. Below is a letter that was sent to the Club this fall. This note expresses very well how many of us feel about this wonderful garden that we enjoy so much.

Dear Roosevelt Island Garden Club –
I visited your garden in May and have been meaning to write ever since. I am from Indiana and visited my niece who lives in Manhattan; this was my second visit to NYC. On both trips we did lots and lots of walking and sightseeing and I just wanted to let you know that walking through your gardens was absolutely one of the highlights of either of my visits! It is so lovely and creative, and just a wonderful oasis of nature and peacefulness and beauty in an otherwise hard, noisy and bustling city. We spend quite a bit of time there admiring each spot and how each individual chose to use their space, and took many, many photos which I still look at often.
I wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your special space with the public; I can’t wait to visit again!
